An interesting bit to add would be to explain why you consider Clash Royale a MOBA. Supercell must have mentioned it in a press release or something because so many article headlines claim it's a MOBA, but it's missing all the differentiators. There isn't even teammates! It would be hard to craft a definition of MOBA that could include LoL and Clash Royale without also including other 1v1 synchronous games like Hearthstone.
I think there is a market on mobile for synchronous online play and that's the market Vainglory and Clash Royale are competing in. The article demonstrates well that you must focus on your platform's strengths and know your audience before you begin designing. Vainglory is a PC title using mobile as a novelty to differentiate in the PC market. Clash Royale is a title for the mobile audience. One last thought is that I don't think mobile and PC/console is the correct dichotomy. I think it's more about the play pattern.
